Life With Our English Setter Puppy
We’re so happy to finally introduce you to the newest — and definitely fluffiest — member of our family: Nova, our 2½-month-old English Setter puppy. If you love dogs, cozy moments, and a life lived a little closer to nature, you’ll understand why this feels like such a special chapter for us.
From the moment we met Nova, something just clicked. With fur softer than a cloud and bright eyes full of curiosity (and a touch of mischief), it was love at first sight. But more than that, it felt like Nova chose us — like she already knew she belonged in our little pack.
Getting to Know Nova
Life with a puppy is equal parts joy, chaos, and learning — and Nova is no exception. She’s incredibly intelligent and picks things up quickly… when she feels like it. Like many puppies, she’s already mastered the art of selective hearing, especially when it comes to being called back. We’re working on it, one walk at a time.
What we love most is her energy and curiosity. Nova approaches the world with a sense of wonder that reminds us to slow down, go outside, and enjoy the simple things — morning walks, muddy paws, and fresh air.
Nova & June: A New Dynamic
Introducing Nova to June was something we thought a lot about. Would they get along? Would it take time? In the end, it turned out to be easier than we imagined.
From playful wrestling to long, quiet naps, Nova and June have formed a beautiful bond. Watching them together has become one of our favorite parts of the day — a reminder that dogs have a way of making everything feel more balanced and grounded.
Growing Fast (Too Fast)
After just one month with us, Nova has already grown so much. She’s gone from a tiny puffball to a slightly bigger, equally lovable furball — and she’s turning heads everywhere she goes. Like many English Setter puppies, she’s growing into her paws quickly, and we know this is just the beginning.
Outdoor Life, Puppy Edition
One of the things we’re most excited about is sharing the outdoors with Nova. Forest walks, learning new tricks, discovering new smells — this is the kind of dog-lover lifestyle that inspired JCKR from the very beginning.
Life with dogs naturally pushes us outside, into slower moments and simpler routines. Cozy clothes, long walks, and time spent together — that’s what JCKR is all about. Nova already fits perfectly into that rhythm, usually with muddy paws and a very happy tail.
